Personalized Matheson House Tours available The Matheson Museum is open Tuesday - Friday, 9:30-1:30 and Sunday, 1:00-5:00. The Museum contains self-guided permanent and special exhibits that document the local area. It is on the City of Gainesville's cell phone tour. The Library and Archives is open for local history research and the recommended days for using the resources are Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Matheson House is open by appointment, please call 352-378-2280 to schedule. Entrance to the Museum and House is free but donations are gladly accepted.
