putnam county spelling bee 11 The Spellers by Michael A Eaddy

Make Time for “F-U-N” at the Opening Weekend of the Hippodrome’s Summer Musical Comedy, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
Friday, May 31 – July 21 | The Hippodrome Theatre
25 SE 2nd Pl., Gainesville, FL 32601

Eight spellers enter; one speller leaves when an eclectic group of young people compete in the spelling championship of a lifetime. While disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, they spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding,” signaling a spelling mistake. Arrive early and grab dinner in downtown Gainesville or enjoy a drink from the Hippodrome bar.
