Elham’s exhibition highlights the often-overlooked contributions of seven Persian women poets across different centuries. The embroidered and printed flags bridge literature and calligraphy, showcasing Persian dedication to knowledge, aesthetics, and cultural identity.
Elham Shafaei is an Iranian artist and arts editor who lives in Sharjah, UAE. She received her PhD in painting from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She is the recipient of many awards and has exhibited all over the world including in the International Biennial of Miniature Art in Timisoara, Romania.
The exhibition features several embroidered works, a printed work, and a sound art component.
Free food and drinks will be available and it is family and pet friendly
