Dark Hearts- A Gothic Valentine’s Celebration
February 10 @ 9:00 pm - 11:59 pm
$10Event Navigation
Returning for a second year, the gothiest, darkest Valentine’s event in Gainesville is happening Saturday, February 10th from 9pm- midnight. Two dance party DJs, Wild Creatrix and Baby Goth Back (aka Dillon Rose), will be playing electronic love songs, industrial break-up songs, darkwave songs to make out to, plus some postpunk, industrial bass, coffin classics, and more. Dress up in theme colors neon pink, blood red, and black!
There will be many areas for photos. Everyone loves to get a Valentine’s card, so there will be a station to create and exchange Valentine’s with strangers. Last year there was a puzzle to solve that gained you access to a secret room so…expect surprises this year! This event is a benefit to the Civic Media Center, Gainesville’s independent library and activist hub for 30 years. Dark Hearts is an inclusive, safe space event for all ages. $10 donation, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
