Gainesville Area Rowing is hosting an event on February 3, 2024, Beer Oar Wine. This is an event to raise awareness about rowing and what it takes to make the club successful. Come enjoy an evening at Cypress & Grove, 1001 NW 4th St, Gainesville, FL 32601. Tickets include two full size glasses of featured beer or wine, sweet and savory treats, and access to the silent auction.
Additional information regarding GAR and tickets for Beer Oar Wine is available on our website: gainesvillearearowing.com. The club represents Gainesville at Florida, Regional, and National regattas. We are looking to expand our youth program (6th grade – 12th grade) and the masters (adult) program. Come enjoy an evening out and learn more about GAR.
Gainesville Area Rowing, Inc. (GAR) is a non-profit Florida corporation created to promote rowing as a sport in the Gainesville/Alachua County area. GAR teaches physical fitness, nutrition, and psychological skills that lead rowers to heightened mental and physical self-awareness. Through the active participation of its members, GAR provides the equipment and professional coaching staff to compete on a national level. GAR includes a high school program, a middle school program, and a Masters (adult) program.
