Final Wishes for a Sustainable Future
Serving fourteen years as Florida’s first certified conservation cemetery, Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery’s informative presentation will explore how natural burial can be a healing choice for the land and loved ones. Learn more about Gainesville’s very own conservation cemetery, their land restoration efforts and how this end-of-life choice lessens our environmental impact.
Heather Grove is the Director of Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery. Heather Grove’s passion for natural burial developed over a decade ago whilst pursuing dual degrees in Geography and Environmental Studies from Stetson University. She has worked across an eclectic range of nature-based organizations and finds a meaningful place at Prairie Creek working with grieving patrons amidst the comfort and peace of Prairie Creek Preserve.
