Harn Museum of Art

The Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida is one of the largest university-affiliated art museums in the United States, and a cornerstone of north central Florida’s arts and culture ecosystem. The permanent collection features African, Asian, modern and contemporary art and photography. The Harn is the permanent home of Claude Monet’s “Champ d’avoine (Oat Field).”

The Harn is the most prominent fine art museum in the greater north central Florida region demonstrating its commitment to being a cultural resource through free admission and free art-centered experiences. The museum is known for developing programs and exhibitions drawn from its collection of 13,450 artworks, as well as bringing in high caliber, nationally-touring exhibitions that may not otherwise reach the state of Florida.

The Harn Museum of Art opened in 1990, dedicated to promoting the power of the arts to inspire and educate people and enrich their lives. The Harn provides educational programs including tours, lectures, interactive activities and family and school events.

The Harn is open every Thursday until 9 p.m. for Art After Dark, with special entertainment, art activities and performances offered on the 2nd Thursday for Art After Dark: Museum Nights, and the last Thursday for Art After Dark: Wine Down.

Admission is free.
