Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong into a fun and social game. It’s easy to learn, accessible for all ages, and a great way to stay active while connecting with others.

Conveniently located just off I-75, the Alachua County Sports and Events Center offers indoor courts, comfortable seating, and covered parking. This makes it an ideal spot for an easy after-work activity or a midweek break from your routine.

These sessions are just the beginning. Designed as a pilot program, Open Pickleball Nights aims to build momentum and create a consistent space for players to gather. Strong participation could turn this into a regular monthly event, giving Gainesville even more opportunities for recreation and connection.

By showing up, inviting friends, and joining the action, players can help grow a vibrant and welcoming pickleball community in Alachua County.
