Sunshine State Book Festival

The 5th annual Sunshine State Book Festival will bring Readers and Writers together on January 26th and 27th at the UF Hilton. All events are free and open to the public. On Friday evening, a reception will be held for authors, sponsors, and the general public. On Saturday from 10AM to 5PM, 200 registered authors will be available to discuss their books and sell signed copies. At 11AM, there will be a panel discussion on “Freedom to Read.” Bring the children for story time from noon to 4PM. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jack E. Davis will speak at 1PM. The Literary Heritage Program “A Conversation with Frederick Douglass and Captain John Brown” will be presented at 3 PM.
