Santa arrives by air December 16
A Gainesville holiday tradition continues December 16 with the annual Operation Santa Delivery at Santa Fe College.
The free event, that’s sponsored by Santa Fe College, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, and ShandsCair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The highlight is Santa’s arrival by helicopter at Santa Fe’s north field at the corner of NW 39th Avenue and NW 91st Street.
Over thirty community organizations will be offering games and fun activities for kids. There will also be opportunities for free photos with Santa.
LifeSouth will host a blood drive that can help save lives during the holidays. Donors must be at least 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required.
For more information call LifeSouth at 352-334-1000.
