View a lineup of films in downtown Gainesville from local and national filmmakers. The annual GNV Film Festival begins at the Hippodrome Cinema with “When the Music Was Cheap and Darn Near Free” with Executive Producer Terri Bailey at 6 p.m., followed by “Bridging Troubled Waters: The Life of Coach Jessie Heard: Lincoln High and Buchholz High School” with Executive Producer Michael Gengler at 6:30 p.m.
Bo Diddley Plaza hosts the third and final film at 8 p.m. with a screening of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther. Admission is free.
