Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale 2024 – Day 1

This is day #1 of this 5 day book sale event which is free and open to the public.
Friends of the Library, an independent and all volunteer organization, is marking its 70th year of hosting sales of gently used books and materials generously donated by the local community at BARGAIN prices. Most items are priced between 25 cents and $5. All proceeds are used to support and promote literacy projects throughout Alachua County.
As one of the largest used book sales in the southeastern USA, this popular event offers over 500,000 items including works of art, puzzles, CDs, vinyl records, and games (board and computer), as well as books of all genres. Our more than 60 categories include children’s and young adult books, novels, cookbooks, history (world, local, and military) books, travel, poetry & drama, classics, architecture, many foreign language books, biographies, sports, academic texts, sci-fi, music (vocal and instrumental), large print books, religion, medical and science texts, magazines, and much more. The Collector’s Corner offers many first editions and signed volumes.
