Overview

Create a clay sculpture inspired by a local species during Counterextinctions Stage 2 at Depot Park. Participants receive air-dry clay, drawing tools and a card featuring a species and the climate challenge it faces, then design something that could help it survive. No art experience is required. Completed designs are credited and archived by Counterextinctions, with select models considered for fabrication as permanent public installations around Gainesville. The free workshop is open to all ages.
