Overview

Learn about Gainesville’s heritage at Brunch & Brass: A Perryman Revival on the Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center campus. Enjoy a ticketed Southern-style brunch with a mimosa bar, then a free, family-friendly concert by the Gainesville Big Band at 1:30 p.m. Proceeds support restoring the historic Perryman Grocery Store.

The Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center works to preserve Gainesville’s African American heritage. The museum site includes the restored Cotton Club Hall and historic shotgun houses, with plans to transform the Perryman store into a café and mini museum.
