Collier Prize Symposium

The Collier Prize, the leading U.S. journalism competition for state government reporting, is presenting a symposium on November 13. The event, in the Rion Ballroom at Reitz Union, also will be online via livestream (a link will be emailed, to those who have selected the online ticket option, on the week of the symposium). Lunch will be provided to those attending in person.

The Symposium will feature a keynote conversation with Maribel Perez Wadsworth, CEO of the Knight Foundation, as well as a discussion of the future of state government reporting with the leaders of States Newsroom, the Institute for NonProfit News and State Affairs. There will also be deep dives into the investigations that won the 2025 Collier Prize, with reporters from the Associated Press, NBC News and the Illinois Answers Project.
