Catch a compelling lineup of films in the heart of downtown Gainesville during the Juneteenth GNV Film Festival. The evening begins at the Hippodrome Cinema with “When the Music Was Cheap and Darn Near Free” at 6 p.m., featuring Executive Producer Terri Bailey. At 6:30 p.m., stay for ”Bridging Troubled Waters: The Life of Coach Jessie Heard,” presented by Executive Producer Michael Gengler. The festival concludes at Bo Diddley Plaza with a free outdoor screening of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” at 8 p.m. Admission to all the festival films is free.
