Table for Two Beer Dinner – Event Venue Partners with Businesses for Popular Events
Gainesville event venue, The Wooly partnered with a popular local restaurant, The Top, and an international and national award-winning brewery, First Magnitude Brewing Company, to come up with a widely popular event – Table for Two Beer Dinner.
The hip, trendy event venue setup the evening similar to a banquet. The rules outlining the evening were communicated in detail in advance to instill confidence in attendees and staff and ensure everyone’s safety.
Hotel Hosts a Dance Performance on Their Rooftop Pool Deck
The Holiday Inn University Center paired up with national ballet dance company, Dance Alive, to provide an evening of a ballet dance performance with the breathtaking backdrop of sunset and the University of Florida campus. The exceptional Sweetwater Catering Company provided the food and service, and a popular local entertainer, DJ Elio Piedra set up the sound, music and entertainment following the dance performance.
The newly renovated rooftop of the Holiday Inn University Center, with a pool as the centerpiece and safely spaced social seating, is a beautiful, unique, open-air location to host any style or size gatherings. In addition, this hotel has over 4,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and is surrounded by local shops restaurants, boutiques and across from the University of Florida.
Museums Provide Packages for Unique Physically-Distanced Events
The Cultural Plaza is home to the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Harn Museum of Art, and the Florida Museum of Natural History and Butterfly Rainforests, providing over 30 available rental spaces, all in one location. And is located within minutes to twenty plus hotels, hundreds of eateries, I-75 and the Gainesville Regional Airport. Across the street is the UF Hilton and Conference Center featuring 12,681 sq. ft. of meeting space and 10 meeting rooms, and the Aloft Gainesville, featuring 1,350 sq. ft. of meeting space and 3 event rooms – creating opportunities for a large variety of events and meetings of all sizes within close proximity.

The Florida Museum of Natural History and Butterfly Rainforests has held several successful physically-distanced events. Their special COVID-19 options offer micro-event packages that make it easy for you to hold events safely and in style. The Florida Museum has 45,000 sq. feet of combined meeting space.

Phillips Center for the Performing Arts not only presents some of the most established and emerging national and international artists, but they also have several meeting spaces throughout the building. Their reopening plan has been guided with help from epidemiology experts at UF Health, to ensure the safety of patrons. This is a great place to hold a meeting and also entertain your guests.
