What’s Good is on parade in celebration of University of Florida Homecoming weekend. Orchestrate fun plans, beginning with cheers for the motorcade of orange and blue as the beloved annual homecoming parade kicks off festivities. The celebration continues with Gator Growl featuring live music and comedy acts, leading up to the big game on Saturday, and culminating with Soulfest on Sunday.

Get energized with the versatile musical stylings of Dr. Neu and LP3 at the Free Fridays Concert Series in downtown Gainesville, or slide on over to Jazz on the Green at Celebration Pointe for danceable tunes by Swing Theory. Enjoy the night sky with the sounds of bluegrass at Heartwood Soundstage. Indulge your artistic side at the Artisans’ Guild Gallery Art Market, or celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with select activities.

The largest student-run pep rally in the nation continues the tradition of entertaining Gator Nation with rock band Neon Trees and rap artist Gunna.

With deep roots in jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop, metal, gospel, blues and classical music, LP3 was founded by Longineu Parsons III and keyboardist Zac Chester. For Friday’s concert, Longineu Parsons II, “Dr. Neu,” joins his son on trumpet.  

The Free Fridays Concert Series is the region’s longest-running free outdoor concert series featuring local and regional talent. Grab dinner at a downtown Gainesville restaurant, and find a cozy spot on the Bo Diddley Plaza lawn to enjoy a live music concert every Friday night through October.
