“Walk Through the Orchestra” at Gainesville Orchestra POPS season finale, performed by the full symphony orchestra under the direction of Maestro Evans Haile with guest singers from Broadway. Treat yourself to a delicious and elegant farm-to-table dinner at Swallowtail Farm, or take a stroll through colorful blooms with a guided tour of Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. Plus enjoy nature’s harvest and family-friendly fun at the Island Grove Blueberry Festival.

The Free Fridays Concert Series Returns with R&B, Funk and Soul from “24/7”

Downtown Gainesville

Lasting May-October, Free Fridays concerts bring live music to downtown Gainesville each week. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy music from the outdoor stage. Make a night of it and grab dinner and drinks from a downtown restaurant. This year’s concert lineup features jazz, folk, hip hop, reggae, blues and more.

Hear Garden State Music Icons with the Gainesville Orchestra

The Gainesville Orchestra presents a musical extravaganza with popular songs from musicians with ties to New Jersey. The “Jersey Boys and Girls” themed concert features artists like Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston and more.

“The Air” themed dinner highlights the air in all its forms, from distributing seeds with the wind to nourishing plants and the earth. The menu features ingredients fresh from the farm composed by Chef Jeffrey Allen of Cheffrey’s Food Trailer and Special Events.

The Dirty Knobs became an outlet for Mike Campbell to work on songs he was writing between Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers records and touring.
