Weekends were made for What’s Good. Add a little art, live music, and delicious dining to your plans starting with the Gainesville Fine Arts Association’s opening reception for Artwalk Gainesville and their exciting new exhibit Things Unseen. Outdoor music stages feature the high-energy Matcha and Sooza bands at the Free Fridays Concert Series, a full day of top Indie acts at Heartwood Soundstage, the always fun Chillula band at Playlist at the Pointe, and your dance favorites with Fast Lane at the Tioga Concert Series.

Celebrate the 22nd anniversary of The TOP Restaurant with their exceptional menu, plus bands, DJs, and prize giveaways. Browse craft vendors and dine on vegan food from Frenchmen Street Food at Auk Market’s Vegan Jump Off. Plus don’t forget to get outside and enjoy Alachua County’s bountiful and gorgeous nature. Go for a stroll at Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park or O’leno State Park, or explore 8 springs in 8 miles with a paddle down the Santa Fe River in High Springs.

Things Unseen is a Biennial National Juried Exhibition featuring artists from 16 different states. For the exhibit, artists investigate and bring to light things normally unseen. The exhibition features artists from 16 different states, who ventured to make the implicit explicit; and to investigate, dive deep into and bring to light Things Unseen.

The Gainesville Fine Arts Association has fostered and encouraged the study of the visual arts through every medium since 1923.

Music GNV presents two bands at the Free Fridays Concert Serires. Enjoy funk and rock from Matcha and the high-energy six-piece brass band Sooza.
