Rock Out with the Little Wing Studio Showcase at the Free Fridays Concert Series

Downtown Gainesville

The outdoor music lineup features Cassette, The Interwaves and PT for a night of punk and rock and roll. The showcase is curated by the local rehearsal and recording studio Little Wing Studios. A summer tradition, the Free Fridays Concert Series is the region’s largest and longest-running free outdoor concert series featuring performances on Friday nights in downtown Gainesville. Enjoy food and drinks from nearby cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Admission is free.

Get Your Cookouts, Swimming and Summer Fun on at Alachua County’s Poe Springs
Open Daily, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. through September | Poe Springs Park

28800 NW 182nd Ave., High Springs, FL 32643

Located north of Gainesville, Poe Springs is the largest spring in Alachua County. It pumps 45 million gallons of cool, refreshing water daily. Park amenities include pavilions and picnic shelters, play areas, multi purpose fields, volleyball courts, and bar-b-que grills. There are loop trails throughout the park for hiking, and a boardwark that traverses the cypress swamp leads visitors to the springs. A boat launch and dock afford watercraft access to the river. Parking is $6 per vehicle or $1 per person walk-in/bicycle entry.
