Stop Children’s Cancer launched in 1981 with Bonnie Freeman sharing her vision to find a cure for children’s cancer. After being diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 10, Bonnie told her parents her goal was to fight childhood cancer, to provide hope for the future.
Bonnie lost her battle at age twelve, but the Freeman Family, volunteers, and the community continue her bright vision. To this date, Stop Children’s Cancer has raised over $8 million to fund pediatric cancer research at UF Health College of Medicine.
