Spirit of Woodstock Lives in High Springs

August 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free
Historic Woodstock Materials on Display

In advance of the 50th Anniversary of the iconic festival, on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:30 pm at the High Springs Library, local historian and High Springs Lions Club member Bob Watson will be playing records (yes, vinyl) and Woodstock Revisited artist Larry Behnke (who was at Woodstock and contributed many of the items in the exhibit) will lead Woodstock trivia games for chances to win prizes, including tickets to the upcoming festival August 16-18th in High Springs.

The High Springs Library, in cooperation with High Springs’ own anniversary celebration, Woodstock Revisited – High Springs Lions Club, is hosting this event to showcase the historic Woodstock materials available through the Alachua County Library District, many of which will move to the festival site at the HSLC Clubhouse from August 16th to 18th, 2019. The library is located at 23779 W US Hwy 27 in downtown High Springs and can be reached at 386-454-2515. Librarian Tremblay’s blog with more information is at Woodstock 50th Anniversary Event Link.
