UMOJA exhibit at GFAA

Come celebrate the latest exhibition with GFAA.

This is GFAA’s first official in-person exhibition at the gallery since shutting down for the pandemic, and they can’t wait to see everyone!

This is an exhibition of the work of Black Artists in Alachua County, FL. There will be food, music, and speakers, including artist K Williams and Commissioner Charles “Chuck” Chestnut, IV.

Presented by the Alachua County Community Remembrance Project and the Gainesville Fine Arts Association. Black artists have been historically and continue to be disproportionally represented. Their intention is to make space for Black Artists and their voices through this exhibition. Their goal is to make and strengthen communal connections and to give recognition and exposure to more Black artists. Their vision is to shape new futures.
