Experience the magic of the season at the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department’s annual Holiday Lights Celebration on Saturday, December 2nd, at the Historic Thomas Center. The festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward will welcome residents and officially light the gardens at 6:00 p.m. The celebration is open to the public and free of charge. If you’re in the mood for some extra holiday magic, take a horse-drawn carriage ride for a small fee or purchase some holiday sweets and treats.
