Celebrate the unique spirit of North Central Florida with a fun and playful look back at the events of 2024.
Over fifty groups participate in the Flying Pig Parade, including returning favorites like The Dancing Dinosaurs and The Weird Island Clown Band. Vivian Filer, a prominent local figure, leads the procession as the Grand Marshal. Vivian Filer is celebrated for her significant contributions to preserving local African American history and advancing education, healthcare and community engagement. In her present role, she is founder and Chair of the Board of the Cotton Club
Museum and Cultural Center.
Bo Diddley’s Birthday Concert follows the parade at Bo Diddley Plaza at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
