Book Launch – African American Studies: 50 Years at the University of Florida

On March 18, 2022 at 6:30 pm, the A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center will hold a community book launch for African American Studies: 50 Years at the University of Florida, the first book to explore the creation and development of an African American Studies program at a major university. Co-editors Jacob U’Mofe Gordon and Paul Ortiz, along with some special guest presenters, will discuss the making of the book and the legacy of UF African American Studies. The event will be held in-person at the A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center and virtually through SPOHP’s Facebook Live: www.facebook.com/OralHistoryProgram.
