TranQuility in Gainesville invites all people to a panel located at the Matheson History Museum that brings together artists and academics in conversation about art and its potential to inspire queer community. In this talk, speakers will theorize some of the diverse ways in which visual art, music, and literature by and about trans folk promote community building.

In addition to the panel, this event will feature an exhibition by local Gainesville artist, Kim Sims, whose paintings help visualize the gender spectrum, as well as poetry readings and musical performances.

Come and enjoy light refreshments and learn more about advocacy through art.
