43rd Annual Pioneer Day Festival
April 27 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
One event on April 28, 2019 at 10:00am
We hold the Annual Pioneer Days Festival on the fourth weekend of April every year. It is located in the historic downtown district of High Springs with the central attractions being located in or near James Paul Park.
This is an ideal family event that has something for everyone to enjoy.
The festival features vendors selling handmade crafts, clothing, furniture and other goods; artists selling their wonderful creations; merchandisers selling unique and often locally produced items.
At the gazebo located in the sinkhole, we have old time and folk music presented by various local and national artists throughout the day for both days. And at other stages or areas we have various entertainments presented by local school groups and local studios for dance and gymnastics. And we have various Barbershop Quartets, Sweet Adeline Quartets and gospel groups strolling the festival and presenting their delightful songs. A special highlight of the festival each year is the Heritage Village where skilled artisans demonstrate skills and crafts from the pioneer period of our history. We also have demonstrations of Native American Dance Circles and other features of the Native American crafts and culture.
