The Thomas Center is the "cultural heart" of Gainesville. The Thomas Center serves residents and visitors through its art galleries, 1920’s period rooms, local history exhibits, and it contains performance space, banquet rooms and meeting rooms.

The Thomas Center is housed in a beautifully restored Mediterranean Revival-style hotel that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Surrounded by the lovely Thomas Center Gardens and the Grace and Sidney Knight Children’s Theatre, the center hosts a variety of exhibits and musical programs. Hours: Monday - Friday 9a-5p; Saturday & Sunday 1p-4p. Admission: free. Located in the northeast part of downtown Gainesville.
